Its Saturday and Halloween is right around the corner!

After a long time, getting a day to laze around at home. Life has been crazy this year. Either we are partying over the weekend with friends or travelling or we have guests over at our place. This is the first Saturday after a long time that S and I are just relaxing doing nothing. I am loving the feeling. Next few weekends up til the end of the year are already planned and don't see a single weekend to just sit around and laze. That's why cherishing the beautiful sunny Saturday until it is dusk and we are off to zombie paint ball maze with friends for Halloween celebrations.

Summer is over and so are the travels!

Yes you must be thinking how can I say that summer is over in California! Well but if you are a Californian, then yes Summer is gone! :)

Not as eventful as 2009 travel spree I would say, yet quite a lot of travels this year. We started our travels this summer by attending a close friend's wedding in DC. Followed by my long awaited visit to India after 2 years. I came back and we went to Santa Barbara for my birthday weekend. Another weekend in Malibu. Followed by American Independence day in San Francisco. The short weekend getaways were not good enough break from my crazy busy schedule at work - so we decided to go to Kauai for a week. It was amazing break - doing nothing but just sitting by the sea and reading. And the last travel to top it all was a week in east coast to attend a close friend's wedding and socializing with all school buddies after ages.

Now starts the long weekend nights with friends playing cards, board games, poker. And soon it will be ski season... :) Looking forward to it.

Work has been Crazy! But I love it!

So I know I said I am back but I was actually not back!! Well work is keeping me so busy that I hardly find time to blog. I have been working long hours and working over the weekends. Well but I dont mind since I love my job.

How many of you out there love your job? I know there is a stage that most of the people reach in their professional life - where they are just doing something for the heck of it. I had reached that stage couple years back and I wanted to get out of the IT field. And then I got an excuse of leaving the job because I was getting married and relocating. After relocating I went into desperate mode of finding new job and something that I would love to do. I got job again in same technical field and it was not something that I wanted to do. I got another opportunity of relocating and this time finding something of my real interest. So last year I started interviewing and started turning down some of the offers because I thought this is not something that will keep me going.

And then one day I ended up interviewing with my current company. I was not exactly sure of what job would be like, but it was definitely not the traditional jobs that I had been doing so far. It sounded challenging and very interesting. I took up the offer, and here I am after 1 and half years blogging about it - how I love my job!! :)

PS: I started this post while sitting in the WAR room over the weekend at work! ;-)
