Everyone has got a baggage!

Yes don't think you are the only one in the world who is getting crushed under the burden of your own baggage! Everyone out there has got some form of baggage. Be it a family matter or relationship baggage; a past incident or a future risk; an emotional issue or a financial issue. Some or the other form - everyone is carrying one big bag.

Its not whether yours is heavier than others or lighter. Its about how you handle your baggage. With a smile on your lips or with a frown in your brow.
Remember its the way you accept the life and fight against all the odds. And not about how one succumbs to a situation.

Yes at times its not easy to fight all by yourself and it might be worth sharing it with someone and getting a hand in carrying your baggage. Dont be shy in asking for a hand. Trick is to unpack your baggage sooner than later and deal with it.

PS: Inspired to write this post by a quote in one of my favourite TV shows: How I met your mother!

Diwali Party

Last weekend, S and I hosted Diwali party for all of our friends. I took friday off from work and cooked for 16 people. I have cooked for such a big gathering couple times before but hosting a party was all together a new experience. I had been planning the party for more than a month. Starting with sending evite, booking the club house, deciding the games, buying the gifts, deciding the menu and so on... And when the day arrived we were all set, with club house lit with candles, home made food, bollywood music, games, etc. We started partying around 6:30 and it went on till 5 in morning! Well you must be thinking what did we do for that long.. Well here is what we ended up doing all night. We started off with some drinks and snacks and catching up with everyone. And then we played a couples game where husband is tested on his knowledge about his wife's likings.. We then moved on to a card/spoon game. We played musical chairs and then had dinner. After dinner it was time for some bollywood numbers. And then Bingo and desserts. After that we wrapped up everything in the club house and some of our friends left. Rest continued the party spirit and we moved to our home and started poker session at 2 in morning which finally ended at 5. All of our friends called us on Sunday and thanked us again for throwing a wonderful party. I was so happy that everyone had fun!

PS: My camera decided to stop working and so no pics along with this post. Will add pics to this post as soon as I recieve the pics from my friend.
